The main difference between Ukrainians and Russians lies in their level of civic consciousness and how they see their role in governance. Russia centralized power, developed a personality cult, and dismantled institutions of rights and freedoms, turning the population into passive observers. In contrast, in Ukraine, the aspirations of both the people and the ruling elites aligned towards the West-some for the living standards and income, others for so-called "Western values." Key events from the 2004 Orange Revolution to the 2019 elections highlighted Ukraine's commitment to reform and increased political activism, shown by high voter turnout and volunteer defense against invasions. These differences have made the two peoples distinct, contrary to the "brotherly" image. Putin's invasion aimed to halt Ukraine's progress, as its economy grew twice as fast as Russia's from 2016 to 2021. If Putin hadn't invaded in 2022, the growing disparity in living standards would have threatened his regime, despite the repressive apparatus. That's why he attacked. And that's why Ukraine cannot yield-any concession would mean losing its freedom and statehood. This comment might not be needed, but if someone reads it, thank you for your attention! :)

Please, don't call it "a conflict", because a conflict is a dispute or disagreement between two or more parties about a controversial subject and put those sides on the same even conditions. What is going is a full scale military aggression started by russia towards an independent country Ukraine - which is a war. It is very important to call things what they really are.

So agreed about coffee shops. The best in the world. I have only a couple shops in my town in America where the coffee is a good quality. In my town in Ukraine where my mom lives coffee is good in every coffee shop you’ll visit.

Seeing my home makes me cry again. Even though i am very aware and haven’t forget even for a day…during last days i cannot think about home without crying. My village is being destroyed by russians. As well as my town Kherson. And my country is being bombed every day by russians. I am afraid to think how many soldiers died, as well as civilians. I want to say “I don’t know what to do, i want it to stop” but there’s no way for it to stop, until we manage to fight back😢 I am also very thankful to everyone from other countries for all tour help and support!!!❤

Восток Украины так выглядит, так как его уже 10 лет обстреливает сама же Украина. А Львов вообще никак ничем не зацепило, хватит вранья и западной пропаганды!
